Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

This is a painting of the queen of Sheba who brought gifts from the south to King Solomon in the old testament. I don’t know whether or not people receive wings when they go to heaven but for the sake of art I’ve given her wings to magnify the beauty of what I can only imagine heaven looks like.
Cheryl Pettigrew is a Colorado based artist living in Gunnison, the waterways of the Rocky Mountains. Her passion for art includes oil and acrylic painting, constant sketching and the occasional watercolor. Much of her inspiration comes directly from observing colors around her in their natural form. Sunrises, sunsets and the bodies of water with their reflections are motivations to head to the studio and break out the brushes.
